I had a lot of fun writing for Wild Hunt for a while.  It was more demanding than my quiet little blog here, and I don’t think I could have kept the pace up much longer, so I’m glad it’s over.  (But would fill in again if needed in a heartbeat!)

So, no more teasers about my articles and linking to the Hunt.  You will be able to enjoy my wit and wisdom, such as it is, right here.  I learned some valuable things about what I want to do and what I don’t.

First, I know that I can’t compete with Jason when it comes to coverage of the latest in the Pagan World.  I was privileged in that he shared some of his info-gathering techniques with me, but the bottom line is: it’s a LOT of work.  He does it well, and I’m happy with that.

Second, I clarified in my mind what I endeavor to achieve with this Blog.  They are, in no particular order:

  1. Have a “regional focus” for South Louisiana.  The Pagan community was devastated by the hurricanes last year.  So, I want to provide the community with information about events and other resources in the local community.  I also feel it important to my spiritual path to be involved locally.
  2. Have a forum in which local pagans can “strut their stuff.”  We have some very wise and intelligent members of our community whose wisdom I hope we can all share.
  3. Have a place to voice my own thoughts and, yes, showcase my own writing when it’s worth anything.

Now that my spam-war is over, I hope that readers will comment and contribute.  I especially need leads on anything happening in the pagan community in Louisiana, ideas for articles, entire articles, etc.  If you have a blog or website about Paganism and in Louisiana, I will review and showcase it here.  This is not something I can really do on my own and will take what help I can get.
